ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of CHC30113 Certificate III in Childhood Education and Care
  • Hold a valid HLTAID004 First Aid Certificate (must be valid for a period of 1.5 years from course commencement)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at course commencement
  • International learners must demonstrate they hold an IELTS 5.5 with no skills band less than 5 or equivalent
  • Learners must demonstrate ability to undertake training and complete the course at this level
  • Learners must undergo a Working with Vulnerable People / Children Check before work placement commencement

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.
